Iraqi Oil Minister Dr. Adel Abdul Mehdi Meets with IBC Delegation during His Visit to Jordan To Discuss the Iraqi – Jordanian Oil Pipeline

During his visit to Jordan, the Iraqi Oil Minister Dr. Adel Abdul Mehdi met at his residence yesterday Monday November 16th 2015 with IBC delegation consisting of IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Sadi, IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary-General Mr. Saad Naji and IBC vice Chairman Mr. Turkey Al-Qaissi to discuss the latest developments on the Iraqi – Jordanian Oil Pipeline in the presence of the Director General of the Oil Projects Company of the Iraqi Oil Ministry Engineer Nihad Mousa.

During the meeting, the Iraqi Oil Minister Dr. Abdul Mehdi discussed with IBC delegation the new course of the Iraqi – Jordanian Oil Pipeline and his expectations on implementation.

Dr. Abdul Mehdi further spoke of the efforts of the Iraqi Oil Ministry in promoting and supporting the Private sector to implement the Ministry’s projects including the Strategic Pipeline Project in its investment part.

On his part, IBC Chairman Dr. Sadi welcomed the Iraqi Oil Minister and expressed the desire and willingness of IBC to invest in the Iraqi – Jordanian Oil Pipeline Project and all Projects of the Ministry.

Engineer Nihad Mousa then reviewed the Ministry’s projects in progress. Also, IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary-General Mr. Saad Naji proposed adoption of the International Monetary Fund emergency plan developed by the Fund to support the Iraqi economy during these critical circumstances.

It is noteworthy that IBC had sponsored and supported the establishment of this vital Project since 2006 based for its conviction of the Project’s strategic importance to Iraq and Jordan to significantly and effectively support the economy of the two neighboring countries.
