SIGNING OF MOU BETWEEN IBC – JORDAN & THE AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

IBC Jordan concluded an MOU with the American Chamber of Commerce through a ceremony held on this occasion at IBC Headquarters – Amman.

The MOU concluded between the two Parties provides for mutual cooperation in support of free trade, fight against corruption and respect of patent laws.

The MOU also provides for promotion of economic competitiveness in Iraq through supporting common programs such as conferences, meetings and trade delegations.

According to this agreement there will be common activities by IBC and the American Chambers of Commerce that aim at increasing trade exchange between American Companies and companies owned by IBC members.

The MOU was signed by Dr. Majid Sadi – Chairman – on behalf of IBC, and Mr. Lionel Johnson – Head of MENA Chamber of Commerce – on behalf of the American side. During this event, Chairman of IBC presented the American Chamber of Commerce Deputy with a special gift.

 

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council is based on the common desire generated by a number of elites. Those who are Iraqi investors and businessmen on the territory of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan unanimous in the importance of creating economic reference for them, as well as for those who wish to join them in order to maximize Iraq’s investment in Jordan, as well as to contribute actively to Iraq’s construction and reconstruction.

The one who carried out the mission of founding is an elite of Iraqi businessmen of recognized competence and abilities. and since the Council’s inception in late 2006, members have worked towards efforts to support Iraqi investments in Jordan. as well as coordination and cooperation with official entities, to find solutions and proposals to overcome obstacles and constraints facing investors s economic, investment and trade cooperation between Jordan and Iraq.

IBC Sings Amemorandum Of Understanding (MOU) with Indian

On Wednesday June 6th, 2012 IBC held a ceremony at IBC Hall on the occasion of signing an MOU with the Indian Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEFC).

Ambassador, Mr. Radha Ranjan Dash, Indian Embassy First Secretary, Mr. Servit Singh, EEPC Deputy, Mrs. Jaya Passo and the visiting delegation of EEPC companies.

IBC was represented by its Chairman, Dr. Majid Sadi, General-Secretary, Mr. Saad Naji, and a number of IBC members; Dr. Fakhri Reshan, Faisal Sadoun, Tamara Daghistani and Mr. Abdul Hakim Qaisi.

EEPC Representative, Mrs. Jaya Passo, signed an MOU relating to promoting economic cooperation and trade exchange between Indian companies and companies owned by IBC members.

During the meeting memorial gifts were exchanged.

Also, during the meeting HE the Indian Ambassador expressed interest of Indian companies to recognize investment opportunities in Iraq, their intention to find business partnerships and willingness to provide many services in all fields; amongst which engineering techniques and Indian technology exported worldwide.

HE the Ambassador lauded IBC efforts aiming at expanding economic activities of Iraqi investors through intercommunication with Embassies, Commercial Consulates and Diplomatic Corps, and supporting all activities that contribute to strengthening trade exchange.

Dr. Maji Sadi, IBC Chairman, made a presentation on trade activities of companies owned by IBC members and available investment opportunities between Indian and Iraqi companies inside and outside Iraq.

The Iraqi Business Council held a ceremony to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Radha Ranjan Dash, the First Secretary of the Indian Embassy, ​​Mr. Servett Singh, the Vice President of the Engineering Export Promotion Council Ms. Jaya Basu, and the visiting delegation of companies The Indian Affiliate of the Indian Engineering Export Promotion Board

During the ceremony, His Excellency the Indian ambassador spoke about the interest of Indian companies in identifying investment opportunities in Iraq, their desire to find business partnerships, and their willingness to provide many services in all fields, the most important of which are engineering and technology technologies that India exports to the world.

His Excellency the Ambassador also praised the Council’s efforts aimed at expanding the economic activity of Iraqi investors through their communication with embassies, commercial attaches and diplomatic bodies, and supporting all activities that contribute to enhancing trade exchange.
