Economic Event: With a Distinguished Presidential Pavilion IBC Participates in the 13th International Exhibition

In cooperation with the Arab Contractors Federation and the Iraqi Contractors Union, and under the title “Jordan & Iraq; Partnership & Building”, the activities of the 13th International Exhibition and 2nd International Forum for Building, Construction and Engineering Industries, organized by the Jordanian Construction Contractors  Association, were opened on June 25th, 2019 on the ground of Amman International Motor Show – the Airport road, in the presence of the Jordanian Prime Minister Mr. Omar Al-Razzaz, the Iraqi Minister of Planning Dr. Noori Sabah Al-Duleimi, the Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Mrs. Safiya Al-Siheil, the Iraqi Embassy Advisor Mr. Khalid Al-Khaizaran, a delegation of Basra Province officials, a number of Jordanian Ministers and officials, IBC Deputy Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji, IBC Board members; Mr. Muhammad Jawad Al-Jubouri, Dr. Usama Al-Quraishi and a number of IBC members.
A special presidential pavilion was allocated to IBC to receive guests and the companies interested in entering the Iraqi market.

IBC pavilion also received the Jordanian Prime Minister Mr. Omar Al-Razzaz, who attended the signing ceremonies of several cooperation agreements concluded between the Iraqi Planning Ministry, the Jordanian Construction Contractors Association and the Iraqi Contractors Union at IBC pavilion.

The exhibition included organizing workshops and bilateral meetings between the participants and exhibitors from other sectors, in addition to organizing business meetings with the invited Arab businessmen, with the participation of over one hundred figure working in this sector, in addition to the presentation of real estate development projects and products of key design, décor, kitchens, furniture and garden requirements manufacturing companies.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council is based on the common desire generated by a number of elites. Those who are Iraqi investors and businessmen on the territory of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan unanimous in the importance of creating economic reference for them, as well as for those who wish to join them in order to maximize Iraq’s investment in Jordan, as well as to contribute actively to Iraq’s construction and reconstruction.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council was well-founded and blessed by the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Accordingly, the approval of the competent Jordanian authorities was commended for launching the Iraqi Business Council in Jordan.

The one who carried out the mission of founding is an elite of Iraqi businessmen of recognized competence and abilities. and since the Council’s inception in late 2006, members have worked towards efforts to support Iraqi investments in Jordan. as well as coordination and cooperation with official entities, to find solutions and proposals to overcome obstacles and constraints facing investors s economic, investment and trade cooperation between Jordan and Iraq.

Economic Event: The Arab League Council of Economic Unity Honors IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Saedi

On the sidelines of the Golden Jubilee activities of specialized unions of the Arab League Council of Economic Unity, and with the attendance of a large crowd of Ministers and Arab States Ambassadors, Presidents and Secretaries General of specialized Federations, the Secretary General of the Council of Economic Unity Mr. Muhammad Al-Rabee and the Palestinian Minister of Investment honored IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Saedi and the Iraqi Business Council with the Shield of the Council of Economic Unity for their efforts in supporting investments and investors during the honoring ceremony that was held on June 12th 2019 at Cairo – Triumph Hotel.

The awards were received by IBC CEO Mrs. Abeer Al-Naib.

IBC sponsored the luncheon that was held on the second day of the Golden Jubilee Conference activities and was attended by all participants of the specialized federations; officials, presidents and secretaries general.  IBC CEO participated in a number of meetings held during the two days of the Golden Jubilee activities.
