Iraqi Business Council Committees
Iraqi Business Council embodies the following Committees:
Social Activities Committee:
It aims at enhancing bonds between members of the Iraqi Community present in Jordan and the local Jordanian society. The Committee carries out all required tasks to achieve its goal including assemblies, social events and social trips.
Humanitarian Affairs Committee:
It endeavors to support humanistic programs that aim at improving the status of the less fortunate Iraqis whether in Iraq or those present in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Its tasks cover health, living and educational programs. Furthermore, the Committee endeavors to find resources and donations to support these humanistic programs.
Economical Committee:
This Committee endeavors to accumulate economical, trade and investment data-base whether in Iraq or the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and takes interest in participating in trade conferences, fairs, symposiums that serve the Council’s objectives.
Foreign Relations Committee:
This Committee is specialized in maintaining and promoting relations and contacts with persons in charge, personalities and trade attachés in Jordan, Iraq and other world countries, in addition to maintaining contacts with Chambers of Commerce and other similar Societies for cooperation purposes, and arranges for meetings with delegations visiting Jordan.
Cultural & Media Committee:
This Committee endeavors to propagandize for Mesopotamia cultural civilization through cultural conferences, symposiums and fairs. It supports and promotes the activities of Iraqi artists and intellectuals present in Jordan. It also aims at maintaining contact with media and press for the purpose of introducing them to the Council’s objectives and activities.
Scientific Merits Committee:
This Committee maintains contact with the scientific personalities present in the country; i.e. physicians, engineers, university professors, etc., as it supports these personalities through providing work opportunities or giving them the chance to contribute to the Council’s programs according to their specializations. It also strives at supporting their scientific activities through assisting them to publish their books, researches and studies, it also supports any activity from similar party that serves the Iraqi scientific personalities present in Jordan.
