Participation of IBC Chairman & Members in the Opening Ceremony Of the Arab Iraq Conference & Exhibition 2016 (Reconstruction & Investment)

Under the auspices of the Jordanian Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Nsour, the opening ceremony of the Arab Iraq Conference & Exhibition “Reconstruction & Investment 2016” was held on “Zara Expo”.

The Conference & Exhibition was opened by the Jordanian Minister of Public Works & Housing Engineer Sami Helesa on behalf of Jordan’s Prime Minister Dr. Abdulla Nsour.

The Conference & Exhibition is organized by the Arab Contractors Federation in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works & Housing and support of IBC and the Jordanian Chambers of Industry & Trade with the participation of Iraqi and Jordanian officials, representatives of Arab companies, commissions and financing organizations.

The opening ceremony was attended by IBC Chairman Dr. Majid AlSadi, IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji, IBC Vice Chairman Mr. Turkey Al-Qaissi, IBC Board members; Mr. Nazar Awchi, Mr. Khalil Al-Bunniya, Mr. Mekki Al-Faez, Engineer Jalal A-Qaoud, Mr. Usama Al-Quraishi, Mr. Fakhri Rishan, Mr. Muhammad Al-Jubouri, Mrs. Wassan Al-Khafaji and a number of IBC members; the former Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Dr. Jawad Hadi Abbas, Mr. Raed Al-Bayati, Mrs. Hadeel Hassan, Mr. Rasoul Abu Tbikh, in addition to IBC CEO and staff.

The Conference aims at presenting the reconstruction and investment opportunities available in various sectors in Iraq of the current and future phases. During this Conference, IBC Chairman Dr. Majid AlSadi was honored with the Creative Work Shield by the Ministry of Public Works & Housing and the Arab Contractors Federation in an expression of their appreciation and gratitude for the efforts and constructive cooperation to make this event a success. President of the Global Construction Group Mr. Kamil Alwan participated in this event as a golden Sponsor and President of Qabas Economic Group Mr. Turkey Al-Qaissi also participated in this event as a Bronze Sponsor.

During the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister’s representative Minister of Public Works & Housing Engineer Sami Halasa said that this exhibition is considered a key fair specialized in building and construction in Jordan and the neighboring countries, where official and semi official bodies and commissions, banks, Arab Financing Institutions and Arab companies took part to discuss means and available investment opportunities in brotherly Iraq.

Also, President of the Arab Contractors Federation Mr. Fahad Muhammad Al-Hammadi said that the Conference represents an opportunity to research and identify the second phase investment opportunities and reconstruction projects in Iraq in the framework of cooperation and joint efforts between the Arab Contractors Federation and its partners. On her part, the Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Mrs. Safiya Al-Siheil said that the Conference and Exhibition represents a window for all sectors related to contracts, building, construction and views exchange between the Iraqi, Arab and foreign companies operating in the sector of contracts, indicating its significance as a step on the path of reconstructing the liberated areas from terrorist groups.

The Secretary General of the Arab Economic Unity Council Mr. Muhammad Rabie said that Iraq will always remain as it had been throughout history an important part of the Arab Nation, and today we are returning the favor to this Arab country that stood, and will always does, with its Arab brothers in various economic, scientific and cultural sectors, lauding Iraq’s historic role in supporting the Arab Nation under all circumstances and crises, calling on all Iraqi and Arab contractors and capital owners abroad to invest in the reconstruction of Iraq to become as it was especially after it started liberating large territories of its lands occupied by terrorist groups and organizations that have wreaked havoc.

IBC Hosts the Opening Ceremony of the Second Personal Exhibition Of Iraqi Calligrapher Adil Al-Hadi

Among the activities of IBC Cultural Program (Ibdaa) and under the auspices of the Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Mrs. Safiya Al-Siheil, IBC hosted on Saturday May 7th 2016 the opening ceremony of the second personal exhibition of the Iraqi Calligrapher Adil Al-Hadi.

During the ceremony, the Iraqi Ambassador toured the exhibition with IBC President Dr. Majid Sadi, IBC Vice President and Secretary Mr. Saad Naji, IBC Board members; Messrs. Nazar Awchi and Usama Al-Quraishi accompanied by the Iraqi Calligrapher Adil Al-Hadi and a group of attendees to acquaint themselves with the displayed works. The exhibition included 70 paintings covering various old and modern calligraphy schools.

The main scripts used were the old Kufi, Clear Third, Copy, Diwani, Signature, Clear Diwani and Persian Scripts. In his works, the Calligrapher used a mixture of bright colors to express the artist’s emotions to deliver to the recipient, whereas most of the used texts were taken from the Holy Quran, Prophetic Hadith (speeches), old poetry and other proverbs.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Iraqi Health Attaché Dr. Khamis Al-Saad, Iraqi Commercial Attaché Mrs. Intesar Ali Jafar and IBC members Messrs.

Ahmed Al-Amili, Aqeel Al-Hadi, Khalil Radhi and a large number of IBC guests and a crowd of Artists, journalists, Satellite TV Channels, IBC CEO and staff.
