IBC Hosts the Annual Ramadan Iftar Banquet – 2023

In order to strengthen the ties of amity and affinity in the holy month of love and forgiveness, and under the title “Ramadan unites Us with Bonds of Love and Goodness”, the Iraqi Business Council hosted the annual Ramadan Iftar in HoQQabaz Restaurant at the golden Gate Mall – Um Utheinah for IBC members and their families.  The Iftar event was attended by the Head of Mission of the Iraqi Embassy in Jordan, Mr. Muneef Ali Hussein, along with several Diplomats, Advisors, Attachés and Heads of Departments of the Iraqi Embassy.  On IBC part, the Iftar was attended by IBC Chairman, Dr. Majid Saedi, IBC Deputy Chairman and Secretary-General, Dr. Saad Naji, IBC Deputy Chairman, Mr. Nazar Awji, IBC Board members; Mr. Khalil Al-Bunniya, Mr. Ahmed Al-Sarraf and Mrs. Tamara Al-Daghistani, IBC members and their families, IBC guests and a crowd of academics, artists and media figures.

 

During his welcome speech, Dr. Saedi talked about the efforts exerted by the Iraqi Business Council to enhance economic cooperation between Iraq and Jordan, develop several projects, encourage trade exchange between the two countries, especially after the major positive development in the political, strategic and economic relations between the two countries, which was quite evident during the Jordanian – Iraqi Investment Conference held in the Iraqi Capital; Baghdad last February in terms of the massive presence, participation and the number of agreements signed on the sidelines of the Conference activities.  IBC member, Mr. Yasir Al-Rawi, owner of HoQQAabaz Restaurant, Zain Telecom Company, the strategic partner of the Iraqi Business Council, contributed to sponsoring this event.  It is noteworthy that since beginning of IBC establishment in Jordan, the members have been keen on making the Council the nucleus of an economic, cultural and humanitarian project reflecting the spirit of the era while keeping pace with modernity and economic development.

The Iraqi Business Council Hosts the Annual Iftar Banquet At Le Grand Amman Hotel – (formerly the Millennium Hotel)

In order to strengthen and maintain the bonds of love and closeness during the holy month of Ramada; the month of love and forgiveness, and under the title “Ramadan Brings Us Together with Love and Goodness”, the Iraqi Business Council hosted on Thursday April 21st 2022 at the Grand Amman Hotel (the Millennium Hotel previously) the annual Ramadan Iftar banquet in honor of its members and their families.

During the Iftar banquet, Chairman of the Iraqi Business Council, Dr. Majid Saedi, talked in his welcome speech about the impact of Covid-19 Pandemic on the global economy, its repercussions and its serious challenges, and stressed the Council’s endeavors to advance the reality of economy and develop several economic projects after the Pandemic.

He further thanked the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Jordan, Mr. Haider Al-Athari, for supporting investors and businessmen and providing facilities to enhance investment in Iraq.

In turn, His Excellency the Iraqi Ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Iraqi Business Council for the humanitarian assistance it provided, especially during the difficult period that befell the world due to Covid-19  Pandemic .

Mr. Al-Athari affirmed that the Iraqi Embassy is a home for the Iraqi community in Jordan, whose interest is serving all Iraqis in Jordan.

He talked about the Embassy’s endeavors to grant entry visas and provide facilities to Jordanian investors for the sake of economic development in the two brotherly countries.

During the banquet, a joint cooperation agreement between the Iraqi Business Council and Royal Jordanian Airlines was announced, which included providing special services with distinguished and competitive prices for members of the Iraqi Business Council and their families on all Royal Jordanian flights.

The event also included poetic paragraphs by the renowned Arab poet Mr. Jabr Al-Baghdadi, who presented a poem commending Iraq and the people of Iraq, along with other songs to the rhythms of the Iraqi Chalghi group.

The event was attended by the Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan, Mr. Haider Al-Athari, is wife, the Council’s Chairman and two Chairman Deputies, Board members and IBC members, their families, a number of Diplomats, Advisors, Attaches, Heads of Departments of the Iraqi Embassy in Jordan and Iraqi and Jordanian economic figures, in addition to the media, satellite TV channels, IBC Director General and staff.

The event was sponsored by Zain Telecommunications company, the strategic partner of the Iraqi Business Council.  It was also sponsored by Al-Mujama’at Investment Company for Real Estate Development.

 

IBC Hosts the Launching ceremony of Fashion Designer Sana Matouq New Collection At The Iraqi Business council Hall

Among the activities of its Cultural Program (Ibda), the Iraqi Business Council hosted on Wednesday December 4th 2021 the launching of the new fur collection of fashion designer Sana Matouq, which included a distinguished and varied assortment of designs that were characterized by classic colors such as black, brown and grey as well as bright colors such as blue and snow white colors.

The new designs were distinguished by endless elegance and diversity.. some of which can be worn in formal occasions and others on daily basis.

The event was attended by the wife of the Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Mrs. Maysam Al-Rubaie and members of the Iraqi community in Jordan, and on the Council’s side it was attended by IBC Deputy Chairman and Secretary General Dr. Saad Naji, IBC member Ms. Maha Al-Nuaimi, in addition to IBC Director General, staff and satellite TV channels.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council is based on the common desire generated by a number of elites. Those who are Iraqi investors and businessmen on the territory of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan unanimous in the importance of creating economic reference for them, as well as for those who wish to join them in order to maximize Iraq’s investment in Jordan, as well as to contribute actively to Iraq’s construction and reconstruction.

The Iraqi Business Council holds a launch event for the new winter 2021 furs collection

The presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Jordan Mr. Haider Al-Athari and his wife, on Saturday 02/29/2020 at the Iraqi Business Council Hall – 1st floor, the launch of the new collection for winter 2021 for furs by fashion designer Sana Maatouk, which included a distinctive and diverse collection of designs that were distinguished by color Classics such as black, brown and gray, and bright colors such as blue and snow white.

Its designs are distinguished by endless elegance and diversity, some of which can be worn on official occasions and some that can be worn on a daily basis.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Vice President of the Iraqi Business Council Mr. Saad Naji and his wife, and a member of the Board of Directors Eng. Makki the winner and his wife, and a member of the Council Mr. Muhammad Shanshal and his wife, and a large number of guests from the Iraqi community and a number of Jordanian personalities, in addition to the general manager and staff of the Council.

In the presence of the Ambassador of Iraq to Jordan Mr. Haider Al-Athari and his wife, the Iraqi Business Council hosted on Saturday February 29th, 2020 on IBC Hall / 1st floor the launching of the new winter 2021 collection for fur by fashion designer Sanaa Maatouq, which included a distinct variety of designs characterized by classic colors such as black, grey and brown, using also a collection of bright colors such as blue and snowy white.

Ms. Maatouq’s designs were also characterized by diversity and unique elegance; some of which can be worn either in formal occasions or on daily basis.
The opening ceremony was attended by IBC Deputy Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji and his wife, IBC Board member Mr. Mekki Al-Faiz and his wife, IBC member Mr. Muhammad Shanshal and his wife, in addition to a crowd of guests of the Iraqi community in Jordan, a number of Jordanian figures and IBC CEO and staff.

The Iraqi Business Council holds the annual Ramadan Iftar party and celebrates the 10th anniversary

The Iraqi Business Council held the annual Ramadan Iftar party in honor of the council members and their families and the Iraqi community in Jordan and celebrated the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Iraqi Business Council in Jordan on Wednesday 6/15/2016 at the Grand Millennium Hotel – Amman.

The ceremony included a welcoming speech by Dr. Majid Al-Saadi, President of the Iraqi Business Council, in which he congratulated the guests for the holy month and wished them and the Iraqi people to prevail in security and safety and for stability to return to Iraq to return to its historical position that it has occupied over the years.

He also congratulated the members of the Council on the occasion of the passage of 10 years since the establishment of the Iraqi Business Council in Jordan, reviewing the most prominent achievements it has made during its career in all economic, cultural, humanitarian and social fields, and the programs and projects it established with international organizations and civil society organizations that serve the community service, and thanked His Majesty the King Abdullah II, the Almighty, the first investment sponsor who instructed to overcome obstacles to investment in general and residency in particular, also thanked the Minister of Interior, Mr. Salama Hammad, who agreed during his meeting with the President and members of the Administrative Board of the Iraqi Business Council to activate the granting of multiple entry visas for a period of six months in addition to other facilities Concerning the granting and renewal of residency.

During the ceremony, a general manager and the work team of the Iraqi Business Council were honored.

The Ramadan Iftar ceremony was attended by the Iraqi Consul Dr. Abdul Sattar Al-Janabi and a number of members of the diplomatic staff of the Iraqi Embassy in Jordan.

The ceremony was also attended by the CEO of Zain Telecom, Mr. Ahmad Al-Hananda, and on the side of the Council attended the President of the Iraqi Business Council, his wife, the Vice President, the Secretary and a number of members of the administrative and public body and their families, and a large crowd of the Iraqi community of businessmen, academics, and media professionals, and the staff of Zain Telecom, the official sponsor of the Iftar party The Iftar party included the comedy play (Sarah and the Lord Shepherd), which the attendees enjoyed.

IBC Hosts the Annual Ramadan Iftar Festivity & Celebrates the 10th Anniversary of IBC Establishment

IBC hosted on Wednesday June 15th 2016 at the Grand Millennium Hotel – Amman the annual Holy Ramadan Iftar festivity in honor of IBC members, their families and the Iraqi community in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, celebrating also the 10th anniversary of IBC foundation in Jordan.

The ceremony included a welcome speech delivered by IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Saedi in which he congratulated the guests, wishied them and the Iraqi people in general the prevalence of peace and stability in Iraq to regain its historic stature that it had enjoyed over the years.

He also congratulated IBC members on the 10th anniversary of IBC foundation in Jordan reviewing the most prominent achievements IBC realized in all economic, cultural, humanitarian and social aspects, in addition to the programs and projects IBC established and implemented in collaboration with the global organizations and civil society institutions flowing in the stream of society service.

He further extended IBC gratitude and appreciation to the patron of investment, His Majesty King Abdulla II, who instructed elimination of all obstacles obstructing the march of investment in general particularly the issue of residency permits in Jordan.

He further extended appreciation to the Jordanian Inferior Minister Mr. Salama Hammad who agreed in his meeting with IBC Chairman and Board members to activate the regulations concerning granting six-month multiple entry visas to the Kingdom, in addition to other facilities concerning granting and renewal of residency permits.

During the ceremony IBC COE and staff were honored.

IBC Holds Welcoming Ceremony for the New Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Mrs. Safiyah Al-Siheil

IBC hosted on Sunday February 29th 2016 at Amman Grand Millennium Hotel a welcoming ceremony in honor of the new Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Mrs. Safiyah Al-Siheil on the occasion of assuming her post as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. At the beginning of the ceremony, IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Sadi delivered a speech welcoming the Iraqi Ambassador,

the present officials and guests lauding the support extended to the Iraqi community by the Jordanian Government under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein concerning facilitating issues relating to residence permits and Iraqi investments in the Kingdom.

Dr. Sadi elaborated on the role of IBC in consolidating the historic ties and relations between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Iraq through promoting and maximizing investments in Jordan since Jordan represents a gate that is close to Iraq’s economy geographically and logistically.

He also lauded the distinguished relations and close collaboration between IBC, Arab and foreign Embassies and the Commercial Attaches of those Embassies in Jordan.

Dr. Sadi shed light on IBC efforts in the past years to promote the Strategic Project between Jordan and Iraq (the Pipeline between Basra and Aqaba) and IBC collaboration with the Iraqi Oil Ministry to reach an agreement to commence this colossal Project.

On her part, Ambassador Al-Siheil extended in her speech thanks and gratitude to IBC for holding the welcoming ceremony and lauded IBC efforts to place the Iraqi investor in the rank of top investors in the Kingdom through its successful activities represented by the conclusion of Memoranda of Understanding and economic cooperation between the Trade and Industry Associations whether on the level of Jordan or other countries that flow in the interest of the Iraqi investor.

Ambassador Al-Siheil further thanked IBC members, the Iraqi businessmen and investors for assisting their fellow Iraqis, who circumstances dictated their being in a position requiring their unity and assistance until they return to their areas after liberation.

Ambassador Al-Siheil spoke of her desire to develop the economic and trade relations with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the relevant Ministries and institutions and the expansion of bilateral relations between the two countries and in particular the economic and trade relations through facilitating the current business procedures for businessmen and Iraqi companies in the Kingdom, holding meetings and talks with Jordanian and Iraqi officials to serve companies and investors.

The Ambassador extended her utmost thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein, the Jordanian Government and people for their support extended to Iraq and all segments of Iraqis and sincerely wished that Jordan enjoys the blessing of safety and security.

IBC Hosts a Breakfast for IBC Members & Guests

Within the activities of IBC Social Program, IBC hosted on Thursday February 18th 2016 at Amman Grand Millennium Hotel – Dragon Restaurant a breakfast for IBC ladies and their guests with the presence of the new Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Mrs. Safiya Al-Siheil.

 The event included IBC CEO welcome speech and two fashions show of Sana House for genuine furs and Al-Nashmiyah House for contemporary eastern fashions.

The event was attended by Sharifa Budour Bint Abdul Ilah, the Comeercial Attache Mrs. Intesar Ali Jafar and Dr. Ghada Al-Baldawi of the Iraqi Health Center.

From IBC side, the event was attended by a number of IBC ladies including wives of IBC Chairman and members, IBC Board member Mrs. Wasan Al-Khafaji, IBC member Mrs. Widad Al-Saffar, in addition to IBC CEO and staff.
