The Iraqi Business Council delegation meets the invitation of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco

Dr. Majid Al-Saadi, Chairman of the Iraqi Business Council, and Mr. Saad Naji, Vice-President, Secretary and General Director of the Council, answered the invitation of His Excellency the Moroccan Ambassador to Jordan Muhammad Sari to visit the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco – Shmeisani, on Tuesday 10/31/2017.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the Moroccan Ambassador expressed his thanks and gratitude for accepting the invitation, stressing the depth of the historical relations linking Iraq and the Kingdom of Morocco, wishing that security and safety would prevail over Iraq after the victories it had achieved against the forces of evil and terrorist darkness.

For his part, Dr. Majid Al-Saadi reviewed the activities of the Council in the economic fields and its support for strategic investment projects, including the Iraqi-Jordanian oil export pipeline, as well as the importance of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council, which was launched by the governments of Iraq and Saudi Arabia to enhance economic cooperation between the Iraqi and Saudi private sectors.

Mr. Saad Naji indicated during the meeting that the Council’s members are a group of economic leaders from Iraqi businessmen and investors who have achieved success stories in the fields of investment and implementation of important projects in many sectors in Iraq, Jordan and other countries.

During the meeting, His Excellency the Ambassador promised to approve the letters of support issued by the Council to its members who wish to obtain an entry visa to Morocco (visas).

At the end of the meeting, the two parties exchanged thanks and the icon of the Council (the Sumerian Tree of Life) was presented as a memorial gift to His Excellency the Moroccan Ambassador.

IBC Delegation Accepts the Invitation Extended by the Moroccan Ambassador to Jordan

IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Saedi, IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saard Naji and IBC CEO accepted on Tuesday October 31st 2017 the invitation extended by the Moroccan Ambassador to Jordan Mr. Muhammad Sitri to visit the Moroccan Embassy at Shmesani.

At the beginning of the meeting the Moroccan Ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation for accepting the invitation, stressing the deep historic relationships existing between Iraq and the Kingdom of Morocco, wishing that peace and security would prevail in Iraq after the remarkable victories achieved by the Iraqi armed forces over the terrorist evil forces.

On his part, Dr. Majid Saedi reviewed IBC activities in the economic fields and its support for the strategic investment projects including the Iraqi – Jordanian Oil Export Pipeline.

Dr. Sadi also talked about the importance of the Iraqi – Saudi Coordination Council launched by the governments of Iraq and Saudi Arabia to promote economic cooperation between the Iraqi and Saudi private sectors.

Also during this meeting, Mr. Saad Naji pointed out that IBC members are a group of economic leaderships of Iraqi businessmen and investors who achieved success in investment and implementation of key projects in many sectors in Iraq, Jordan and other countries.

During the meeting, the Ambassador promised to adopt the support letters that IBC issues to its members who wish to obtain entry visas to Morocco.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged thanks and IBC Icon (the Sumerian Tree of Life) was presented as a souvenir to the Moroccan Ambassador.

Participation of IBC Chairman & Members in the Signing Ceremony of “Iraqis in Jordan” by Dr. Abdul Sattar Hadi Al-Janabi

IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Al Sadi and IBC Board members; Mr. Turkey Al-Qaisi and Mr. Ali Ghalib Al-Khafaji participated on Wednesday October 11th, 2017 at Orfali Gallery / Umm Utheina in the signing ceremony of “Iraqis in Jordan” by the Charge d’Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Qatar Dr. Abdul Sattar Hadi Al-Janabi.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Mrs, Safiya Al-Siheil, a number of diplomats of the Iraqi Embassy and a crowd of Iraqi economists and academics, in addition to media and press.

The session was conducted by IBC Board member Dr. Muhammad Al-Baldawi and the Political Sciences Professor Dr. Jamal Al-Salabi.

The Researcher reviewed the resources, statistics and schedules on which he relied, and after conclusion he listened to some queries raised by the audience started by IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Saedi where he reviewed the importance of the Iraqi economic presence in Jordan.

The Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Mrs. Safiya Al-Siheil commented also on the digital statistics reviewed by the Researcher.

It is worth mentioning that the study is considered as the first study conducted in an elaborate scientific approach.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council is based on the common desire generated by a number of elites.

Those who are Iraqi investors and businessmen on the territory of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan unanimous in the importance of creating economic reference for them, as well as for those who wish to join them in order to maximize Iraq’s investment in Jordan, as well as to contribute actively to Iraq’s construction and reconstruction.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council was well-founded and blessed by the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Accordingly, the approval of the competent Jordanian authorities was commended for launching the Iraqi Business Council in Jordan.

 

Meeting of IBC Members with the Visiting British Companies Delegation

IBC members met on Tuesday October 3rd 2017 at IBC Headquarters with the visiting British companies delegation.  The British delegation was headed by the Chief Executive Officer of Alastair Corporation for Business Development in the Middle East and South Africa and Board member of the Arab – British Chamber of Commerce Mr. Alastair Watson and the representatives of specialized companies in different sectors; representatives of (Digital Barriers) Mr. Malik Al-Ukeili and Mr. Razi Saleh, representative of (Norbar Torque Tools Ltd.) Mr. Owen Hailz and the representative of (Pinnacle Contracting – PSL Ltd.) Mr. Paul Huston.

During the meeting, IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji welcomed the visiting trade delegation and an overview on IBC, its activities and achievements in all sectors, especially the economic sector, was presented by IBC Chief Executive Officer.

The participants discussed means of cooperation and keenness of the British companies to obtain business and investment opportunities in Iraq.

Further, IBC members and the representatives of British companies presented a brief introduction on their companies, expertise and projects carried out, followed by discussing a number of inquiries raised by the trade delegation on the current economic situation in Iraq and work mechanism for foreign companies.

Agreement was made with Mr. Alastair Watson on holding an economic conference in London shortly to be organized by the Arab – British Chamber of Commerce in corporation with IBC to encourage British companies to establish work partnerships with their Iraqi counterparts.

The meeting was attended by IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji, IBC Board member Mr. Usama Al-Quraishi and IBC members; Dr. Faris Al-Safi, Mr. Hassan Al-Safi and IBC Chief Executive Officer.

IBC Hosts Economic Seminar on Ayla Investment Project

IBC hosted yesterday October 2nd 2017 on IBC Hall / 1st floor an economic Seminar on Ayla Investment Project in Aqaba for Ayla Oasis Projects Development Company owned by the Saudi Astra Group in partnership with Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA).

During the Seminar, the Project Director General Mr. Siheil Dodin welcomed IBC members and expressed his appreciation to IBC for the organization of the Seminar which aims at introducing the investment opportunities in Ayla Project.

During the Seminar Mr. Dudin spoke of the significance of Aqaba city, which overlooks the Red Sea and embraces many projects and tourist resorts, being a main tourist destination for foreign tourists especially local and Scandinavian tourists.

Mr. Dudin further emphasized that the Project is an environmentally friendly project that includes the first golf course in Jordan, adding that the Project includes a number of hotels, residential, commercial and recreational units overlooking industrial lakes.

The Project also includes the Hayatt Regency Hotel which will open in March 2018 with (286) hotel rooms.  During the Seminar the number of inquiries on the Project were raised by the attendees which were answered by Mr. Dudin.

On his part, IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji thanked the Project work team for their interest in organizing the Seminar, inquiring about the number of units available for sale and the rate of completion and sales of the Project.

Mr. Dudin replied that 90% of the residential units of the first phase with water view are already sold and handed over to the owners and that the Company is now marketing the residential units of the second phase.
