Economic Event: Chairman of the Iraqi Business Council Dr. Majid Saedi participates as a speaker in the sessions of the Rafidain Forum – Baghdad 2019

IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Saedi participated in the dialogue session on “Investing in Business and Energy : A Lifeline for the Iraqi Economy”, one of the sessions of Rafidain Forum – Baghdad 2019 held on February 4th and 5th 2019 at Al-Rasheed Hotel – Baghdad.

The following gentlemen took part in the Forum : Dr. Thamir Al-Ghadban / Deputy Iraqi Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Oil Minister, Dr. Noori Al-Duleimi / Iraqi Minister of Planning, Dr. Luay Al-Khateeb / Iraqi Electricity Minister, Mr. Ali Al-Allaq / Iraqi Central Bank Governor and Dr. Torhan Al-Mufti / President of the Supreme Commission for Coordination between the Governorates.

The Forum was the first one of its kind to take place in Iraq presenting the files and issues that concern Iraq and the region and discussed them from Baghdad in the presence of local and international high-level political and academic figures from seventeen states and participation of the world leading strategic research and development institutions.

A number of IBC Board members and General Assembly members also participated in the Forum.  It is worth mentioning that IBC was the golden sponsor of Rafidain Forum – Baghdad 2019.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council is based on the common desire generated by a number of elites. Those who are Iraqi investors and businessmen on the territory of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan unanimous in the importance of creating economic reference for them, as well as for those who wish to join them in order to maximize Iraq’s investment in Jordan, as well as to contribute actively to Iraq’s construction and reconstruction.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council was well-founded and blessed by the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Accordingly, the approval of the competent Jordanian authorities was commended for launching the Iraqi Business Council in Jordan.
