Opening of the Personal Exhibition of Expatriate Iraqi Artist Sattar Nima At The Iraqi Business council Hall

Among the activities of IBC Cultural Program (Ibdaa), the personal exhibition of the Iraqi expatriate artist Sattar Nima was opened on Saturday October 23rd 2021 on IBC Hall 1st floor titled “Ecstasy”.

During the opening ceremony, the artist toured the exhibition with IBC Deputy Chairman and Secretary General Dr. Saad Naji and IBC guests of artistic and cultural elites to learn about the displayed artworks, where twenty artworks were displayed embracing a variety of techniques and materials were used such as acrylic, oil and pastille, with a line connecting between personification to extreme abstraction.

In the centre of the hall a video artwork interposed that was in harmony with the content of the exhibition; which was the idea of transcending the normal physical surface of the painting to reach the depth considering the painting as a living work.

The event was attended by IBC members’ Dr. Amila Naji, Mr. Muhammad Shanshal and members of IBC Cultural Committee, in addition to a crowd of artists, academics, media professionals, IBC guests of the Iraqi community in Jordan, TV channels, IBC CEO and staff.

 

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council is based on the common desire generated by a number of elites. Those who are Iraqi investors and businessmen on the territory of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan unanimous in the importance of creating economic reference for them, as well as for those who wish to join them in order to maximize Iraq’s investment in Jordan, as well as to contribute actively to Iraq’s construction and reconstruction.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council was well-founded and blessed by the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Accordingly, the approval of the competent Jordanian authorities was commended for launching the Iraqi Business Council in Jordan.
