At the Ministry’s Headquarters in Baghdad
During his visit to Baghdad, Chairman of the Iraqi Business Council Dr. Majid Saedi met on Thursday August 26th 2021 the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Nabil Kadim at the Ministry Headquarters in Baghdad. At the beginning of the meeting the Minister welcomed IBC Chairman and talked about the difficulties that education in Iraq faces in general, especially after the spread of Covid-19 Pandemic, and the Pandemic permanent impact on class attendance and the continuation of the education process, as well as the Ministry’s support of all investment projects in the education sector, in particular foreign investment and entry of foreign universities into the Iraqi market, which adds great qualitative impetus to the quality of education and its outputs, provides manpower for young people and new graduates in order to serve the process of rebuilding of Iraq. On his part Dr. Saedi stressed the importance of education in all its stages as a basis for building people and nations, providing them with correct structure capable of withstanding and achieving success. Dr. Saedi also stressed the importance of private investment in supporting and diversifying education to comply with the Iraqi labor market, and readiness of the expatriate Iraqi businessmen to contribute to these noble projects to serve Iraq and its honorable people.
