IBC held a meeting with the delegation of the Romanian companies visiting Jordan at IBC Headquarters in Swefiya.

During the meeting an agreement of joint cooperation with the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Prahava was signed.

The delegation comprised of the Romanian Ambassador to Jordan Mr. Bogdan Claudiu Filip, the Romanian Commercial Attaché Mr. Flavious Apostelisko, Chairman of the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Prahova Mr. Orlean Kocolisco, a number of representatives of the Romanian Companies working in a number of sectors such as oil, gas, mining, petrochemicals and refineries.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Saedi and President of the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Prahova, followed by souvenirs exchange.

The ceremony was attended by the Iraqi Commercial Attaché Dr. Edib Al-Kakani, IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary-General Mr. Saad Naji, Vice Chairman Mr. Ahmed Shabender, IBC Board members; Mr. Mekki Faiz, Mr. Usama Al-Quraishi, IBC members; Mr. Ahmed Al-Amili, Mr. Aqeel Al-Hadi, Dr. Sami Al-Naufel, Dr. Hayman Al-Dabbagh, Mr. Ali Al-Ghalib, in addition to the representatives of Qabas Company and a number of journalists.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council is based on the common desire generated by a number of elites. Those who are Iraqi investors and businessmen on the territory of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan unanimous in the importance of creating economic reference for them, as well as for those who wish to join them in order to maximize Iraq’s investment in Jordan, as well as to contribute actively to Iraq’s construction and reconstruction.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council was well-founded and blessed by the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Accordingly, the approval of the competent Jordanian authorities was commended for launching the Iraqi Business Council in Jordan.
