Participation of IBC Members in the Economic Symposium on the Investment in France
Upon the invitation extended by the French Ambassador to Jordan, Mr. David Bertolotti, a delegation comprising of IBC members participated on Wednesday July 20th, 2016 in an Economic Symposium on the investment in France that took place at the residence of the French Ambassador to Jordan.
The French Ambassador started the Symposium with a welcome speech to IBC members and spoke of the French – Iraqi economic relations, the economic situation and the investment environment in Europe after withdrawal of the UK from the European Union (EU), the implications of the UK withdrawal on the European markets in the creation of investment opportunities and the challenges facing Europe.
The Ambassador’s speech was followed by a presentation delivered by Mr. Salim Al-Saifi the Middle East and North Africa (MINA) Investment Director in the French Investment Agency.
Mr. Al-Saifi spoke of the facilities offered by the French Government to investors in all sectors such as competitive operation costs, facilitation of administrative procedures for the establishment of companies and French residence permits granted to investors and corporate leaders.
Mr. Al-Saifi further reviewed a number of successful investment projects implemented by Gulf Companies in France and the most important sectors available for foreign investment, stressing on elements of attractive environment and the vital economy that France enjoys.
At the end of the Symposium IBC Deputy Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji discussed the mechanism of establishing a company and the incentives acquired by the investor.
IBC Board member Mr. Fakhri Rishan further discussed a number of aspects relating to investment including the sectors that are available and unavailable for foreign investment in France.
A number of IBC Board members and IBC members participated in the Symposium, in addition to IBC CEO and staff.
